Frontier IC25 · Edition 2026.3 · Evidence reviewed October 8, 2026 UTC
SpaceX combines xAI’s Grok model program and Colossus data centers with X distribution, Cursor coding applications, Starlink connectivity and launch infrastructure. SpaceX is both a model builder and a compute supplier to other model builders.
Selected for Grok as a frontier-builder entry; the group evidence separately captures infrastructure supply, distribution and deployment. Primary roster placement is not an assessment of the group’s complete value-chain role.
Group lens: Space Exploration Technologies Corp., publicly traded as SPCX since June 12, 2026. xAI joined SpaceX on February 2; Cursor acquisition completed August 14. Model tariffs and specifications describe only the named SpaceXAI endpoint. Tesla is outside this corporate perimeter.

Scope and limitations
- Current x.ai docs and legal pages use SpaceXAI; display preserves familiar xAI name alongside current branding.
- The model page states no text output limit. Do not convert that claim into an infinite numeric output limit or treat null as zero.
- Reasoning cannot be disabled and its tokens are billed as total consumption.
- Fast variant is unavailable on the public xAI API and is excluded; available in Cursor and Grok Build with separate pricing.
- This selection does not describe separately released older Grok weight snapshots.
- SpaceX nameplate compute is installed GPUs multiplied by their all-in power draw. It excludes facility overhead and is not actual consumption, utilization or common-workload performance.
- Q2 2026 infrastructure metrics and earnings release are interim company disclosures; the financial statements are unaudited.
- Contracted sales include recognized and deferred amounts in the enforceable period; $14.1B contracted sales is not annual recognized revenue. Do not add $1.6B incremental Q2 revenue to contracted sales.
- FY2025 revenue is retrospectively recast under common-control accounting to include xAI and X; it excludes the later Cursor acquisition. Cursor remains a separate product entry, not an independent group for aggregation.
- Anthropic and Google contracted GPU allocations are not independently observed utilization or extra GPUs to add to the reported fleet.
- Starlink subscribers are service lines, not people or Grok users. Orbital AI capacity remains prospective.
